Hernando Youth Baseball/Softball/Tball Volunteer Opportunity

Hello Parents,

We appreciate you registering your child to participate in Hernando Parks and Recreation's youth recreational baseball, softball, and tball. It is our hope that their experience is a time of development for them as a player and as a teammate and that overall, it has been a time of great fun for the players.

I wanted to pass along information of volunteer and fundraising opportunities for those of you who may be interested. As you may know, the City of Hernando has some limitations on how it can spend City funds for the improvement of grounds and facilities at the Hernando Civic Center, which is a privately funded property. In the past, volunteer-run non-profit groups have played a vital role in raising funds to help improve the grounds and facilities at the Civic Center.

A group of parents are now looking to see if others are interested in assisting with these efforts. If you, or someone you know, may be interested in getting involved please see the link below to fill out an interest form.

This is not a program or group under the Hernando Parks & Recreation or City of Hernando, but one that the residents of Hernando and participants in Hernando Parks & Recreation will benefit from.

2025 Youth Baseball

Separate season from the previous spring.
Age group determined by player's age on or before April 30th of upcoming season.
Fall season is a developmental season, it is advised to play in the age group in which your player will participate in the upcoming spring season.
Regular season games occur early September through late October.
Games are typically played Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings.
Cost: $60 for DeSoto County residents / $80 for Non-DeSoto residents.
- Includes jersey and hat. Parents are responsible for providing/purchasing any additional uniform requirements such as: pants, socks, belt, cleats, etc.

Season Start Date: September 15, 2025

Observation Clinic:

Date: July 24, 2025
Time: 5:45 p.m.

2025 Fall Youth Softball - 2025 Fall

REGISTRATION ENDS 07/21/2025

2025 Youth Softball:

Separate season from the previous spring.
Youth must be of age for that age division on or before Jan. 1st of current year for softball.
Fall season is a developmental season, it is advised to play in the age group in which your player will participate in the upcoming spring season.

2025 Fall T-ball - 2025 Fall

2025 Fall T-ball:

For boys and girls ages 3 to 4 of current year. Hernando Parks & Recreation's League focus and mission is to provide a program that will be fun, safe and foster growth in the skill of baseball/softball. The program is designed to teach kids the fundamentals of baseball in a less competitive setting.
